Zachary Rehl: An Operation Love Wins Testimonial

This is a testimony of Amanda Rehl, whose husband was ripped away from their family by the Biden regime.

Thanks to Stand in the Gap Foundation and their "Operation Love Wins" initiative, she was able to visit her husband, Zachary Rehl, in prison with their daughter.

After their visit, Marie was sent a survey detailing her visit, and agreed to have her story published. This is their story:

Q: How long had it been since you last saw your loved on in person?
A: October 2023

Q: Describe what it felt like to reunite with them.
A: It felt really nice. We speak on the phone every day but I had really missed being able to see my husband while speaking to him. I didn’t realize how much I had missed Zach until I saw him for the first time.

Q: What was the highlight of the trip for you?
A:Watching Zach be able to hold our three year old daughter and seeing her give him hugs and kisses. They were able to play together and a guard gave us a book so he could read to her. These are moments that we have never been able to experience together so I’m happy to have those brief memories.

Q: How did reconnecting with your loved one during the visitation trip impact you and your relationship with them?
A: It reminded us that we are stronger than what is happening to us and that distance between us is only temporary.

Q: What would you like to say to the donors who generously support Operation Love Wins and make programs like this possible?
A: Thank you so much. Without this program, I wouldn’t have been able to go out to visit my husband for quite some time. It means so much to know that there are people who want to ensure that families stay connected.

Q: Is there anything else you would like to share about your experience with Operation Love Wins or the visitation trip that you think would be helpful for others to know?
A: When it comes to visiting your loved one, do research! Every prison is different and some are stricter than others. While I was at my visit, I watched a lot of people get turned away because of their attire.

We want to thank Amanda for having the courage to share her story. If you can, please donate to Stand in the Gap Foundation to help reunite families like the Johnatakises, even if it's only for 12 hours at a time.
