Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) made a series of claims during a podcast released Tuesday, telling comedian Hasan Minhaj that recent acts of political violence—including assassination attempts against Donald Trump—were committed by Trump supporters and that such violence "doesn’t come from Democrats.
In the interview, Crockett stated: “Obviously anyone can be a criminal. It is MAGA, it is specifically MAGA faction. I don’t think traditional Republicans are getting engaged in all of this, but like, even when we look at, and they don’t talk about the assassination attempts anymore that took place with Donald Trump, but these were Trump supporters, right? As well as this most recent situation, they try to flip it and say ‘the left.’ This doesn’t even make sense, but it’s only MAGA that does this.”
She claimed that the two attempted assassins were actually supporters of Trump.
