President Trump was briefed about the lone shooter who stormed a Midtown office building and killed four people on Monday evening.
"I have been briefed on the tragic shooting that took place in Manhattan, a place that I know and love," Trump wrote on Truth Social.
The president continued, "I trust our Law Enforcement Agencies to get to the bottom of why this crazed lunatic committed such a senseless act of violence," adding, "My heart is with the families of the four people who were killed, including the NYPD Officer, who made the ultimate sacrifice. God Bless the New York Police Department, and God Bless New York!
The narrowing of the trade deficit is expected to support second-quarter gross domestic product, as a smaller trade gap subtracts less from overall output. A second estimate of Q2 GDP is due in late August.
