Former President Biden diagnosed with 'aggressive' prostate cancer

Former President Joe Biden is being treated for an aggressive form of prostate cancer that also has spread to his bones, his personal office announced Sunday.

“Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms," the office said in a statement. "On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone."

Biden, 82, dropped his bid for re-election last summer after top Democrats and donors raised concerns about his mental acuity and physical health. Biden's office says he and his family “are reviewing treatment options with his physicians.”
