Election Integrity: 77% Favor Voter ID

An election integrity measure favored by President Donald Trump is also overwhelmingly popular with voters.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 77% of Likely U.S. Voters believe that requiring photo ID to vote is a reasonable measure to protect the integrity of elections – up from 74% in 2021. Just 17% disagree. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

The survey of 1,229 U.S. Likely Voters was conducted on January 26-28, 2025 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC.
